Each year the Gilmore Car Museum puts on a Vintage Motorcycle Show at the museum grounds in Hickory Corners Michigan. Saturday starts out with a vintage motorcycle ride over 70 some miles of Barry County. The ride started out fine until a 1975 Triumph lost some bolts in his rear sprocket and was rescued by a local auto parts store. The remainder of the ride then continued to a lunch stop at a local restaurant an back the museum.
Sunday was the motorcycle show which had over 100 entries from the USA, Japan, England, Germany, Italy, and many other countries. Some 1000 bikes were on display in the general parking lot with some interesting rides to be seen. Attendance had to top 2000 people viewing the vintage bikes and some 100+ vintage automobiles in the many restored barns on the property. Rain had been predicted for then weekend, but held out for the two days with a mix of clouds and occasional sun. Food was provide by many vendors including the Blue Moon Diner that is a fixture on the property. An old diner moved to the property and restored along with a replica of an old Shell gas station.
Here are a few photos of the 2 day event.
