Gilmore Vintage Motorcycle Show 2012 (June 9-10, 2012)
Each year the Gilmore Car Museum puts on a Vintage Motorcycle Show at the museum grounds in Hickory Corners Michigan. Saturday starts out with a vintage motorcycle ride over 70 some miles of Barry County. This year I was joined by my friend Bob on his 1982 Honda GL500 Silverwing and met up with Kevin from the Great Lakes Road Riders on his Silverwing. We also met one other gentleman with his Silverwing at the museum and road as a group during the ride.
Sunday was the motorcycle show which had over 100 entries from the USA, Japan, England, Germany, Italy, and many other countries. Several thousand bikes were on display in the general parking lots with some interesting rides to be seen. Attendance had to top 2000 people viewing the vintage bikes and some 100+ vintage automobiles in the many restored barns on the property. Food was provide by many vendors including the Blue Moon Diner that is a fixture on the property. An old diner moved to the property and restored along with a replica of an old Shell gas station.
Here are a few photos of the 2 day event.
