Honda Homecoming 2003

Honda Homecoming 2003 (July 24-26, 2003)

Each year Honda of America puts on the Honda Homecoming. The assembly plant is located between the cities of Marysville and Bellefontaine, OH. The two cities offer 3 days of fun, food and plenty of vendors to turn that ordinary ride into the extraordinary one. This was the second year at the event, but this year was attended by only my wife and I. This was her first time riding the bike for more then a few minutes. But after 2 days she had logged about 250 miles in the back seat. We rode in both the Bellefontaine and Marysville light parades with some 1500 bikes in the Bellefontaine parade and over 3000 for the Marysville ride. What a great time.

	This year featured the new Valkyrie Rune.
	And the Kenny Stolz racing bike.
	And the Goodyear blimp kept a watchful eye over head.

	To the ridiculous. Fun was had by all.

	and T2 concept bike was on display at the Welcome center.
	But the hit of the week was My '82 Honda GL500 Silverwing with this years updates.

	With only the two of us, we trailered the bike to and from the event.

	Before we left Ohio, we stopped at the Ohio Caverns.
	This may look like a Hollywood monster, but it is actually one of the formations at the caverns.
	The formation know as the "Crystal King". It is millions of years old.
